Exhibit Opening This Friday!

It’s time for the annual art teachers’ exhibit sponsored by the Arts Council of Henderson County. This is the first of four annual shows I participate in here in Western North Carolina from early spring to late summer each year. Our local arts council is gracious enough to host a three part exhibition series showcasing the art of our school systems students AND its teachers!

Here is a preview of what I’ll have on exhibit at the show.

The series is called Mentors and Students. The first exhibition is the elementary students’ show, the second is the art teachers’ show, then the third is the middle and high school students’ show. Each show is up for a week, with a week in between for curation.

The opening reception for the teacher show, ” Art Teachers Create” is this Friday, March 1st, from 5:30 – 7 pm. If you live in the area, I would love to see you there! I have eight of my most recent artworks on display and for sale along with some of my favorite local artists who also happen to be teachers; Robert Wallace, Kelly King, Marley Moreno (used to also be one of my students) M. Ratchshack, Marian Congdon and more.

Late in the season I will also be participating in:

Art on Main Fine Art / Craft Festival – September 28 & 29th of 2019

Henderson County Open Studio Tour – TBA, usually in late September

Bring Us Your Best exhibit – TBA, usually in late August
